St Albans Medical Centre is a purpose built medical centre providing healthcare to the local community for 45+ years. Our doctors work with dedicated 1: 1 nurses to provide a high level of care and continuity for you and your family, with the benefits of a group practice.

Health Coach – Laura Padgett

Laura can help with lifestyle changes, support and education with long term conditions e.g. prediabetes / diabetes, high blood pressure or cholesterol, gout, asthma. Managing stress, motivation, loneliness.

Support with healthy exercise, eating, sleep and study. Accessing support in the community. Advocacy with WINZ. Eligibile for adults 16 + y.o. with long term conditions.

Works Monday to Thursday. 20-30mins sessions in room or outdoor “walk and talk”.

Health Improvement Practitioner – Rachel Morton

Rachel can help with anything getting in the way of your health and well being e.g. grief, depression , anxiety, alcohol and drug, relationship issues, family violence, insomnia, stress. Rachel helps people feeling stuck and works with you to develop a plan and coping strategies.

Eligible for all enrolled patients – free 30 minute unlimited sessions Works Tuesday to Friday. Talk to your GP or nurse if you would like to access the above services. Appointments can also be booked through the reception team.

Phone 033559119, during business hours, or book online via our patient portal myIndici, for an appointment. We continue to triage all consultation requests.

Both in-person and teleconference consultations ( phone, video call ) are available. Face masks are still mandatory inside the building if you have cough cold or flu like symptoms including consultation rooms.

If you have a cough, runny nose, head cold, flu like illness, or are a close contact of a COVID positive person please advise us on booking, whether or not it is related to your reason for attending. And if you have these features and need an in-person consultation, please follow receptionist instructions and we will see you in a separate area.

Standard fees apply for in-person, phone, phone video or email consultations.

Please provide your date of birth as a reference.

We use paperless ePrescriptions. Our preference is to send electronic scripts direct to your nominated pharmacy. Please observe our 48 hour policy for routine requests.

My Indici Patient Portal

My Indici is our new secure online patient portal allowing you to manage your health needs and that of your family from anywhere and at anytime. It replaces Manage My Health portal. Send an email using a non-shared personal email address to reception@stalbans.pegasus.net.nz to register.

Allows you to : View results, order repeat prescriptions, book std appts with your primary GP, see immunisations, recalls, measurements, and allow secure communication with your GP.
