Papanui Medical Centre

Papanui Medical Centre is a general practice in northwest Christchurch and a member of the Pegasus Health primary health organisation. General Practices in New Zealand are funded to provide subsidised medical care to their enrolled population. This enables us to provide free consultations to under thirteen year olds and subsidised consultation fees to our enrolled patients. The Papanui Medical Centre team includes Doctors, Nurses, a Dietitian, and a Counsellor. They are supported by a reception and administration team. We are committed to ongoing professional development to ensure we can provide medical care in accordance with current best practice.

We hold a limited number of same day and acute appointments for our enrolled patients. If you are unable to see an appointment on the patient portal please call the clinic and team will get a nurse to call you back and advise availability. This does not mean a guarantee of an appointment on the same day.

It is usually only possible to deal with one problem in that time. If you think you will need longer, please book a longer appointment which may incur an extra fee. It is very helpful if you can tell us whether your appointment is for a particular need such as ACC, insurance medicals, contraception, etc so they can be fitted in appropriately. For long term medical problems and non- urgent appointments you may need to book several weeks ahead.
